About
I was born in Chapel Hill. I grew up in Durham and attended Durham Academy, where I was lucky to have incredible teachers and make lifelong friends. My parents were not rich. They sacrificed a great deal to send to me a fantastic school that gave me a foundation to make it through college and law school – despite a primary focus on extracurricular activities. I’ve lived all over the world, but eventually landed back in my beloved North Carolina just a few miles from the tiny apartment that I shared with my Mom and Dad, both native Tarheels who were working and studying at UNC when they welcomed me into the world. I’m the oldest of three. My younger sister lives in farmhouse in Virginia and my baby brother by the sea in Maine.
Noel graduated from law school in 1989.
